Robyn does not get paid one penny for her work in researching candidates and ballot propositions / measures, putting together her voter recommendations and publishing them on her web site. Plus she is gracious to publish others voter recommendation lists (like my own) even when we make recommendations different from her own. She is a Patriot!

Still Time to Run: 20 Races Where Incumbents Didn’t File for Re-Election

BeatTheClock Under California law, the deadline for filing for most offices was this past Friday, August 12. However, in races where there is an eligible incumbent who chose not to file for re-election, non-incumbents received an extra five days to file. Consequently, the deadline for non-incumbents to file has been extended until 5:00 PM on Wednesday, August 17 for 20 races for college board, school board, and special districts. None of these require nomination signatures, so a prospective candidate could literally pull and file papers in the final minutes before 5:00 PM on August 17.

Three of these contests actually have more seats than candidates. In other words, there aren’t enough candidates for these races, so anyone who files will go unopposed, but at this point, if no one else files, these three districts will have vacancies:

Capistrano Bay Community Services District
Three Arch Bay Community Services District
Surfside Colony Storm Water Protection District

There’s an additional five contests where the number of seats equal the number of candidates. In other words, if no one else files, all of these candidates will be elected unopposed:

North Orange County Community College District, Trustee Area 7
Capistrano Unified School District, Trustee Area 3
Ocean View School District
Emerald Bay Service District
Yorba Linda Water District

Looking at the list below, some of you may be wondering why Rancho Santiago Community College District, Trustee Area 1 is not listed. In that case, incumbent Jose Solorio (D) actually resigned from the seat, so there is no incumbent. When there’s no incumbent at all, there’s no extension.

Here’s the complete run-down on the 20 contests where filing has been extended to 5:00 PM on August 17 because at least one incumbent failed to file, giving non-incumbents an extra five days to file:

North Orange County Community College District, Trustee Area 2
- Incumbent Leonard Lahtinen (D) did not file for re-election, opting instead to run for Anaheim City Council. Three candidates have pulled and filed papers to replace him so far:
  - Centralia School District Trustee Art Montez (D), who was on the Centralia Board from 1998-2010, when he was defeated for re-election, lost a 2012 bid to return to the Board, and then finally returned to the Centralia Board in the 2014 election, but he’s already looking for another office just two years later
  - College Educator Ed Lopez (?)
  - Businesswoman/Student Ann-Marie Stinson (D)
North Orange County Community College District, Trustee Area 7
- Incumbent Tony Ontiveros (R), the only Republican on the North Orange County Community College District Board, did not file for re-election. Only one candidate has pulled papers to replace him:
  - Attorney Barry Wishart (D), who served on the North Orange County Community College District Board from 1985 until his resignation in December 2001, three years into his fourth term
Capistrano Unified School District, Trustee Area 3
- Incumbent John Alpay (R) did not file for re-election, opting instead to run for South Orange County Community College District. Only one candidate has pulled papers to replace him:
  - Public Information Officer Laura Ferguson (R), who is the PIO for the City of San Clemente
Irvine Unified School District
- There are three incumbents up for re-election: Paul Bokota (D), Lauren Brooks (R), and Michael Parham (R). Bokota and Brooks filed for re-election, but Parham did not. In addition to Bokota and Brooks, four other candidates have pulled and filed papers:
  - Irvine Businesswoman/Parent Betty Carroll (NPP)
  - Army Captain/Parent Mark Newgent (?)
  - Irvine Businesswoman/Parent Naz Hamid (D)
  - Attorney Geri Zollinger (D)
Laguna Beach Unified School District
- There are two incumbents up for re-election: William Landsiedel (R) and Jan Vickers (D). Vickers filed for re-election, but Landsiedel did not. In addition to Vickers, two other candidates have pulled and filed papers:
  - Constitutional Lawyer/Author Howard Hills (R)
  - Community Volunteer Peggy Wolff (D)
Orange Unified School District, Trustee Area 6
- Incumbent Mark Wayland (R) did not file for re-election. Three candidates have pulled papers to replace him:
  - Child Care Supervisor Nicole Baitx-Kennedy (NPP), the only one who has filed papers so far
  - Realtor Jeremy Wayland (R), the retiring incumbent’s son
  - Danielle Jacobs (R), who is director of operations for Sheldon Development, LLC, run by Orange County Water District Director Steve Sheldon (R)
Saddleback Valley Unified School District
- There are three incumbents up for re-election: Ginny Fay Aitkens (D), Amanda Morrell (R), and Suzie Swartz (R). Morrell and Swartz filed for re-election, but Aitkens did not. In addition to Morrell and Swartz, five other candidates have pulled papers:
  - Retired Educator Edward Wong (NPP)
  - Teacher Bill Yarrington (R)
  - Water Agency Manager Mark Tettemer (R), a former Lake Forest City Councilman who retired in 2012 after two terms to pursue a Master of Public Administration
  - School Maintenance Specialist David Johnson (?)
  - Businessman Theo Hunt (D)
Santa Ana Unified School District
- There are three incumbents up for re-election: Jose Hernandez (NPP), Cecilia Iglesias (R), and Rob Richardson (R). Iglesias filed for re-election, but Hernandez and Richardson did not. In addition to Iglesias, seven other candidates have pulled papers:

  - Social Worker Amalia Lam (D)
Westminster School District
- There are two incumbents up for re-election: Jamison Power (D) and Amy Walsh (R). Power filed for re-election, but Walsh did not. In addition to Power, two other candidates have pulled and filed papers:
  - Attorney/Business Owner Karl Truong (?)
  - Educator/Entrepreneur Frances Nguyen (R), a former President of the Westminster Chamber of Commerce
Capistrano Bay Community Services District
- No one has pulled papers for these two seats! There are two incumbents up for re-election: Ambrose Mastro (R) and Stephen Muller (R), the two Republicans on a board with one Democrat and two NPPs. Neither Mastro nor Muller filed for re-election.
- At this point, anyone who pulls and files papers will walk into elected office unopposed. If fewer than two people file for these two seats, the Orange County Board of Supervisors will appoint people to fill the vacancies.
Emerald Bay Service District
- There are two incumbents up for re-election: William Hart (R) and John Marconi (R). Marconi filed for re-election, but Hart did not. In addition to Marconi, only one other candidate has pulled and filed papers:
  - Real Estate Investor Phil De Carion (NPP)
Surfside Colony Community Services District
- Incumbent Michael Farrell (NPP) did not file for re-election. Two candidates have pulled and filed papers to replace him so far:
  - Retired Business Owner Rudy LaLonde (R)
  - Linda Garofalo (NPP), ex-wife of former Huntington Beach Mayor Dave Garofalo (R)
Three Arch Bay Community Services District
- No one has pulled papers for the third seat! There are three incumbents up for re-election: Alan Anderson (R), Elizabeth Gapp (R) and Gary Rubel (R). While Anderson and Rubel filed for re-election, Gapp did not. Only Anderson and Rubel have pulled and filed papers.
- At this point, anyone who pulls and files papers will walk into elected office unopposed. If a third person does not file for these three seats, the Orange County Board of Supervisors will appoint someone to fill the vacancy.
Silverado-Modjeska Recreation and Park District
- There are two incumbents up for re-election: John Olson (D) and Chay Peterson (NPP). Neither Olson nor Peterson filed for re-election. Four candidates have pulled and filed papers:
  - IT Consultant Steven Duff (D)
  - Retired Educator Tara Saraye (D)
  - Realtor/Artist/Parent Heidi Murphy-Grande (?)

Surfside Colony Storm Water Protection District
- No one has pulled papers for the second seat! There are two incumbents up for re-election: John Cahoon (L) and Stephen Rowe (D). While Rowe filed for re-election, Cahooon did not. Only Rowe has pulled and filed papers.
- At this point, anyone who pulls and files papers will walk into elected office unopposed. If a second person does not file for these two seats, the Orange County Board of Supervisors will appoint someone to fill the vacancy.
South Coast Water District
- There are three incumbents up for re-election: Dick Dietmeier (NPP), Rick Erkeneff (R), and Wayne Rayfield (D). Erkeneff and Rayfield filed for re-election, but Dietmeier did not. In addition to Erkeneff and Rayfield, four other candidates have pulled papers:
  - Retired Business Owner Bob Moore (R), a former South Coast Water District Director who lost a 2014 re-election bid after foolishly using a non-incumbent ballot designation
  - Retired Project Manager Bob Oakley (R)
  - Civil Engineer Douglas Erdman (NPP), who appears to be the son of South Coast Water District Director Dennis Erdman (R)
  - Former South Coast Water District Director Richard Gardner (D), who lost a 2012 re-election bid seeks a return to his old seat after losing a 2014 bid to reclaim a seat on this board (or he might not seek a return since he has also pulled papers for Municipal Water District of Orange County, Division 7)
Yorba Linda Water District
- There are two incumbents up for re-election: Michael Beverage (R) and Ric Collett (R). Collett filed for re-election, but Beverage did not. In addition to Collett, only one other candidate has pulled and filed papers:

Garden Grove Recount Ends After 1 Day: Nguyen In, Broadwater Out, Vacancy on School Board

Yesterday, the recount in the Garden Grove Mayor’s race began and ended. After recounting 2,679 ballots in 10 precincts (of which 2,515, or 93.9%, cast a vote for Mayor), not a single ballot changed, so the original count remains:

A long-term fixture in Garden Grove politics who served as either Mayor or Councilmember for 20 of the last 22 years, Broadwater had been Mayor for six nonconsecutive terms (1994-2004, 2012-2014) and served three terms on the City Council (1992-1994, 2006-2012). A union organizer by profession, Nguyen was appointed to the Garden Grove Unified School District Board of Trustees in 2011 and elected to a full term in 2012.

Broadwater’s final Council meeting will be tonight. Nguyen’s first Council meeting will be December 9. The Garden Grove Unified School District has 60 days to appoint a new Trustee to complete Nguyen’s term, which expires in 2016. Should they not appoint in 60 days, they will trigger a special election.

It is not legally possible to consolidate a Garden Grove Unified School District special election with the First Supervisorial District special election to replace Supervisor Janet Nguyen (R) who was elected to the Senate. The Education Code specifies that a special election to fill a school board seat must be at least 130 days after the Board calls the special election. The County Charter specifies that a special election to fill a Supervisor’s seat must be no later than 70 days after the vacancy occurs. The Election Code specifies elections must always occur on a Tuesday.

For the sake of argument, had Bao Nguyen resigned on Election Day, and the school district called the special election as fast as possible after that, the earliest legal date for a Garden Grove Unified School District special election would be Tuesday, March 17, 2015. If (as expected), Janet Nguyen remains a Supervisor until she is sworn in as a Senator on December 1, the latest legal date for a First Supervisorial District special election would be Tuesday, February 3, 2015.

Considering Bao Nguyen was originally appointed to the Garden Grove Unified School District Board of Trustees, it seems likely that the school board would appoint again rather than go to special election. The scenarios that would cause a special election would be if the school board failed to appoint (i.e. no individual candidate could obtain three votes from the Board) or if 1.5% of voters petition to invalidate the appointment (i.e. the scenario that caused the bizarre Irvine Unified School District special election that resulted in Ira Glasky (R) becoming quite possibly the first person ever to be sworn in to the same office three times in a twelve-month period: at his appointment in late December 2013, after his special election in June 2014, and again in early December 2014 after the November 2014 general election).

Will former Garden Grove Unified School District Trustee Trung Nguyen (R) seek the appointment? Three of the four trustees served with Nguyen on the Board while the fourth was elected to fill his vacancy in 2008.

Readers may recall that in the 2007 special election for First District Supervisor to replace Lou Correa (D) who was elected to the Senate, Trung Nguyen led Janet Nguyen in the initial count by seven votes. After the recount, the lead flipped, and Janet Nguyen led Trung Nguyen by seven votes. Then after going to court, the lead shrunk, and Janet Nguyen was elected Supervisor over Trung Nguyen by three votes.
Trung Nguyen then made an ill-fated bid for Garden Grove City Council in 2008, losing by nearly 3,000 votes (or 3.7%) to Andrew Do (R), Janet Nguyen’s Chief of Staff. Trung Nguyen gave up his school board seat, as it expired in the same 2008 election.
Then, in this month’s elections, Trung Nguyen made an ill-fated bid to unseat incumbent Rancho Santiago Community College District Trustee Larry Labrado (D), losing by more than 2,400 votes (or a whopping 25.7%).

With Nguyen expressing interest in returning to an education seat after a six year absence, will his old colleagues reappoint him, or will they seek new blood?

Cue Nguyen disclaimer: Senator-Elect Janet Nguyen, Mayor-Elect Bao Nguyen, and former Trustee Trung Nguyen are not related to each other, and none of them are related to me. The last name Nguyen is held by 36% of Vietnamese people.

June 2014 Organizational Endorsements Scorecard

Chris Nguyen posted a humongous grid of endorsements that broke down all the major organizations and what candidates they endorsed for non-partisan offices in Orange County. You can take a look at his humongous grid of endorsements here. As a follow-up I have done the math on how the endorsed candidates fared in the Tuesday election and have given credit to an organization for endorsing a candidate that either won outright or advanced to the November election.

Anybody that got 75% and higher can be considered an organization with a valuable endorsement but the big winners from this election cycle were the California Women’s Leadership Association (Orange County Chapter) and the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association both of which managed to endorse no losers.

Giant Grid of Endorsements for the June 3 Primary Election

One of our most popular posts from the November 2012 General Election was “Humongous Grid of Endorsements,” so we’re back this election with the Giant Grid of Endorsements for the June 2014 Primary Election.

I did abbreviate for some groups, so OC GOP = Republican Party of Orange County, DPOC = Democratic Party of Orange County, CRA = California Republican Assembly, HJTA = Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association, CWLA = California Women’s Leadership Association, OC Tax = Orange County Taxpayers Association, OCBC = Orange County Business Council, and CTA = California Teachers Association.

If you’re particularly interested in a group, click their name to view their endorsements on their web site. You can learn more about the group there, such as HJTA being the state’s leading taxpayer advocate group or Women in Leadership being a single-issue group with the sole goal of electing “pro-choice women candidates to local, regional and state-wide office who support keeping abortion legal.” (In light of their mission, does anyone else find it odd that Women in Leadership’s two endorsements on this grid are both for school board?)

Candidates in each race are listed in alphabetical order by last name, except incumbents got listed first in their respective races. Party affiliations are listed except for judicial candidates Thomas Martin and Wayne Philips, as I could not tell their affiliation from the voter database (common names combined with obscure judicial races make figuring out their affiliations challenging).

State, County, Schools: Who’s on the Ballot

Here’s the comprehensive run-down on all non-federal and non-judicial races on Orange County’s ballots for the 2014 primary election. With regard to State races, I’m only posting Board of Equalization and legislative because statewide races require that I check 58 Registrars, which is a task too onerous for this blogger; going through five Registrars for BOE was annoying enough.

Extensions

Three races have had their filing deadline extended to Wednesday, as an eligible incumbent did not run for re-election:

45^th Congressional District (Incumbent John Campbell decided not to run for re-election)
74^th Assembly District (Incumbent Allan Mansoor filed for Supervisor)
Auditor-Controller (Appointed Incumbent Jan Grimes decided not to run for an elected term)

Unopposed

36^th Senate District: Supervisor Pat Bates (R) is unopposed. Ken Lopez Maddox (R) pulled signatures-in-lieu but did not file those papers nor pull any others. No one pulled papers, let alone filed papers, in San Diego County.

Sheriff-Coroner: Sandra Hutchens (R) is unopposed for re-election.

Superintendent of Schools: Appointed Incumbent Al Mijares (R) is unopposed in his bid for his first elected term.

Treasurer-Tax Collector: Shari Friedenrich (R) is unopposed for re-election.

Complicated

Board of Equalization: Assemblywoman Diane Harkey (R), former Assemblyman Van Tran (R), Accountant/Realtor Lewis Da Silva (R), Store Owner/Businessman John F. Kelley (R), and Government Auditor Nader Shahatitt (D) are all running.

Assessor: Incumbent Webster Guillory (NPP) pulled papers and filed them on the last day. His opponents are Consultant/Appraiser/Businessman Jorge O. Lopez (D) and former Board of Equalization Member Claude Parrish (R).

Clerk-Recorder: Incumbent Hugh Nguyen (R) faces a trio of opponents: former Orange Unified School District Trustee Steve Rocco (NPP), Capistrano Unified School District Trustee Gary Pritchard (D), and Businesswoman Monica Maddox (R), who is married to former Assemblyman/former Capistrano Unified School District Trustee/former Garden Grove Councilman Ken Maddox (R). See this post from OC Political on the bizarre story of Los Alamitos Councilman Troy Edgar’s (R) failure to qualify that required the Registrar of Voters to examine surveillance camera footage.

Minor developments

69^th Assembly District: As expected, Assemblyman Tom Daly (D) is being challenged by Santa Ana Unified School District Trustee Cecilia “Ceci” Iglesias (R). Inexplicably, Sherry Walker (R) who only registered to vote in AD-69 recently, filed to run.

5^th Supervisorial District: As expected, Orange County Businessman/Councilmember Robert Ming (R), Councilmember/Businessman/Engineer Frank Ury (R), and Mayor/Businesswoman Lisa Bartlett all filed. Unexpectedly, Deputy District Attorney Joe Williams (R) filed.

As expected

34^th Senate District: Supervisor Janet Nguyen (R), RSCCD Trustee Jose Solorio (D), and former OCBE Trustee Long Pham (R) are running.

55^th Assembly District: Councilwoman/Educator/Executive Ling-Ling Chang (R), Small Business Onwer Phillip Chen (R), Councilmember Steve Tye (R), and Social Worker Gregg D. Fritchle (D) filed.

65^th Assembly District: Assemblywoman Sharon Quirk-Silva (D) and Small Businesswoman Young Kim (R) are the sole candidates.

68^th Assembly District: Assemblyman Don Wagner (R)is being challenged by Psycotherapist Anne Cameron (D).

72^nd Assembly District: Assemblyman Travis Allen (R) is being challenged by Retired Police Commander Albert Ayala (D) and Joel Block (D).

District Attorney-Public Administrator: DA Tony Rackauckas (R) is being challenged by Attorney Greg Diamond (D).

County Board of Education, Trustee Area 2: Incumbent David Boyd (NPP) is being challenged by Orange County Small Businessman Tom Pollitt (R).

County Board of Education, Trustee Area 5: Incumbent Elizabeth Parker (R) is being challenged by Orange County Businesswoman/Mayor Linda Lindholm (R).

Irvine Unified School District Special Election: Ira Glasky (R) seeks a return to his former seat on the Irvine School Board. He is being challenged by Bob Vu (R) and Carolyn Inmon (D).

Congress

I will be back to update the Congressional races. There’s something screwy in the log from one of the other counties on one of the multi-county Congressional races that include parts of Orange County; I’d like to confirm if it’s a clerical error, I’m misreading something, or it’s something more serious. I will post later on the Congressional races.

Larry Agran Apparently Attempting to Gain Control of Irvine School Board Again – This Time Via Special Election

Larry Agran: Doing for Irvine Schools What He Did for the Great Park

(Update: 12/20 6:55 PM: I now have multiple conflicting stories as to whether Agran is behind this or if he is simply a supporter of the effort. A few OC Political sources closer to the Agran camp state he denies being behind this effort and argue that when Agran has been behind petition drives, ballot measures, etc., he’s been very public about it. At this point, it does remain unclear as to who is indeed the person or people behind the effort to force this special election. However, it does appear that Agran is supportive of this effort even if he is not necessarily the organizer of the effort.)

It appears Irvine Councilman Larry Agran is attempting to force a special election to oust an Irvine School Board member from office and potentially get one of his own allies elected because the school board failed to obey Agran’s will in the Great Park battle.

During the 2012 elections for the Irvine Unified School District, Larry Agran attempted to get his own slate of candidates elected to the Irvine School Board. The slate of Michael Parham, Lauren Brooks, and Paul Bokota swept the top three positions to block Agran’s slate of Carolyn Inmon, Cyril Yu, and Omar Ezzeldine, who came in fourth, sixth, and seventh, respectively. (Nine candidates ran.) Bokota narrowly defeated Inmon by 706 votes. Incumbents Carolyn McInerney and Sue Kuwabara had opted not to seek re-election, thereby setting up the hotly contested slates. Parham was the sole incumbent to seek re-election. (In the interest of full disclosure, Custom Campaigns, which owns OC Political, ran the campaigns of Parham, Brooks, and Bokota in 2012.)

Not only did Agran fail to get his slate elected to school board, but also, as is well-known to most of our readers, he lost his own race for Mayor against Steven Choi and lost control of the Council when Christina Shea was elected over his ally, P.K. Wong, thereby setting up the Republican majority of Steven Choi, Jeff Lalloway, and Christina Shea. Considering the domination at the presidential and state level by Democrats in 2012, Larry Agran may well have been the saddest Democrat in California on election night 2012.

Last month, Gavin Huntley-Fenner vacated his seat on the Irvine School Board. On a 3-1 vote, the school board appointed Republican Ira Glasky to the board. (Parham voted to replace Huntley-Fenner with Hugh Hewitt.) A mysterious group has launched a petition drive to void Glasky’s appointment and force a special election. The web site does not disclose who is behind the drive, other than in the PDF of the petition, which is required in the mandatory disclosure required in state law, which names only Stephen Buxbaum and Patricia Schneider-Zioga. Schneider-Zioga is a linguistics professor at Cal State Fullerton.

In the Irvine Matters newsletter published by Agran and Councilwoman Beth Krom, they write in support of the petition drive and blast the school board for not opposing the site of the new high school at the Great Park (scroll to the bottom of this post to see the Irvine Matters email). The school site issue has been the bogeyman created by Agran to attack the plan by FivePoint Communities to develop the Great Park. The Council majority of Choi, Lalloway, and Shea voted in favor of the plan, doing in one year what Agran and his allies could not do in a decade in power – actually build the Great Park.

Additionally, multiple sources in Irvine have told OC Political that Agran supporters have stated he is behind the petition drive.

Agran is trying to turn the school board and the school site into a political football in his battle to stop the construction the Great Park; this special election is Agran’s attempt to bully the school board into backing his position on the school site at the Great Park.

The text of the petition itself notes, “The cost for conducting the election called for in this petition is estimated by the Orange County Registrar of Voters to be $392,779-$443,329 if the election is a stand-alone election.” Glasky is forced to run for re-election in November; this special election would be held just a few months before Glasky is due to run. There are many times when forcing a special election in lieu of appointment would be appropriate, but it simply is not the case here. Agran’s agenda is not an adequate reason to force a special election.

Pursuant to Education Code Section 5091(c), petition proponents must gather signatures from registered voters within the Irvine Unified School District equivalent to 1.5% of the number of registered voters at the last election for school board. There were 109,490. In other words, they must submit 1,643 valid signatures of registered voters by tomorrow’s legal deadline to the OC Superintendent of Schools at the OC Department of Education. (Our information indicates the proponents have been gathering signatures for about two weeks now.)

People who have signed the petition but now wish to withdraw their signature should contact the OC Department of Education at 714-966-4000 or the OC Registrar of Voters at 714-567-7600, as those two agencies are responsible for the administration of the election and the ministerial acts involving the petition, including the verification of petition signatures.

Dan Chmielewski at The Liberal OC and we here at OC Political don’t agree on much, but we agree with Chmielewski on this issue, as he has written in opposition to the petition drive:

IUSD has progressives, moderates and conservatives on the Board; they work well together with a minimum of politics to advance education in Irvine so that the teachers, administrators, students and parents have the education possible considering the low state funding we get regularly.

So whoever is behind this petition drive really isn’t pro-education in Irvine; a special election six months in advance of a regular election is a waste of money. At least have the backbone to stand up and identify yourselves as being behind the effort. This is a shame to Glasky. His family donates countless hours to the schools and the community so he clearly understands the issues our district faces and his legal background is an asset to the district.

Simply put; if you’re in Irvine and you’re pro-education, don’t sign the petition.

We’re writing to you because of your opposition to Site A for Irvine’s next High School — Site A is adjacent to a toxic landfill and 1,000 yards from the rapidly growing Musick Jail.

Given the role the Irvine Unified School District Board will play in determining the future High School site, we wanted to make you aware that a petition drive is currently underway to require a special election to fill the Irvine School Board seat previously held by Gavin Huntley-Fenner.

Disregarding the democratic process, the School Board quickly appointed someone to fill the seat in an attempt to foreclose any opportunity for Irvine voters to have a say in who represents them on the Irvine Unified School Board. Incredibly, the man they appointed has already gone on record in support of Site A! In fact, he’s been quoted as saying, “Nothing I have seen so far, has led me to believe that Site A is not a qualified, acceptable, preferable site.”

Those who sign must be registered voters and live within the Irvine Unified School District boundaries. As circulator of the petition, you must fill in the information at the bottom of the petition, including your own signature.

Like you, we have been frustrated by the seeming lack of concern the Irvine Unified School District Board has demonstrated with respect to the serious health and safety issues associated with their proposed Site A for Irvine’s next High School. Republican, Democrat, Independent??? The Partisan Affiliations of Everyone Holding Office In Orange County

I was working on a database of the part affiliation of all Orange County local elected officials. Finally, I have completed the project with all of the special districts and county seats being added. I also fixed some errors in the previous versions (here, here, and here) and have combined the database into one post.
