CA CD 46: Assemblyman Don Wagner Announces Endorsement for GOP’s Jerry Hayden

(Santa Ana, CA)- Today, popular Orange County Assemblyman Don Wagner announced his support for Republican Jerry Hayden in the 46th Congressional District. Hayden is the Republican endorsed candidate collecting broad based support to remove liberal Democrat Loretta Sanchez.

“At a time of high unemployment and out of control spending by our government, we need to elect leaders who will get our fiscal house back in order,” said Assemblyman Wagner. “This is why I support Jerry Hayden. He will work hard on behalf of California’s families to lower taxes, repeal crippling regulations, and get people back to work.”

Don was first elected in 1998 to the South Orange County Community College District Board of Trustees. Later, in the Assembly, Don was appointed to serve on the Budget Committee where he sits on the Sub-Committee 4 that addresses state administration.

“I am very honored to have the support of Assemblyman Wagner,” said Hayden. “With his support I am confident I can defeat Loretta in November and bring real change to California.”

For over twenty years, Jerry Hayden has directed successful financial and investment strategies for Orange County families and businesses. Jerry has also given his time to the community, including serving eight years as the volunteer freshman football coach at Foothill High School. Jerry also served on the Board of Directors for School Power, where he helped raise tens of thousands of dollars to fund public school teachers’ extra budgetary classroom needs.

Those around Jerry Hayden know he is a hard-working advocate for better public schools, more private sector job opportunities, and greater efficiency in government.

The youngest of 11 children, Jerry Hayden grew up in Garden Grove and in the Santa Ana/Tustin area, where the family bought a home on a lemon orchard. His father was a doctor and Colonel in the United States Army Reserves. Jerry Hayden completed his Bachelors’ Degree in Business Finance from San Diego State University. Jerry, his wife Helen and their daughters Lauren and Katie enjoy the California outdoors in their free time and celebrate Jerry and Helen’s wedding anniversary every 4th of July.
