OC GOP Shocker: John Campbell Fails to Gain Endorsement

Posted by Chris Nguyen on February 20, 2012

Breaking from OC GOP Central Committee: 41 people voted to endorse Congressman John Campbell and 22 people voted against endorsing him.

Out of 63 people, Congressman Campbell needed 42 votes, as a 2/3 vote is required to gain the endorsement.

John Webb successfully blocked the endorsement.

Campbell’s opponents attacked his votes in favor of TARP and against Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.

  3. It was a powerful moment. There was no secret ballot. The folks seeking to deny Rep. Campbell the endorsement had to stand up in the room in front of him. I thought it was a very unusual, historic event from the perspective of the Tea Party Movement.

Personally, I think it is wrong to force anyone to share shower facilities with someone who apparently enjoys the view. This is especially disgusting when someone is forced to provide free live porn to gay soldiers under the force of law.
