Mayors Don Hansen (Huntington Beach), Margie Rice (Westminster), Bill Dalton (Garden Grove) and John Collins (Fountain Valley) all publicly endorsed Matthew Harper for State Assembly. Matthew’s experience as a small business owner and a city councilman give him the right combination of public policy expertise and private sector know-how to get our economy back on track.” Mayor Don Hansen – Huntington Beach

“I support Matthew for Assembly because he represents the commitment to public policy and fresh ideas we need representing us in Sacramento. Navigating the State out of the current fiscal crisis is going to be no easy task. The State is going to have to change the way it does business and think outside the box to create jobs and grow the economy. And that’s why we need him in Sacramento.” Mayor Margie Rice – Westminster

“Matthew has the skills and leadership we need representing us in Sacramento. Voters need him in the legislature because we can trust him to fight for us.” Mayor Bill Dalton – Garden Grove

“Harper has represented much of Fountain Valley, Westminster, and Garden Grove while serving on the Board of Trustees for the HBUHSD. I am confident he will continue to represent our Orange county communities in the California State Assembly.” Mayor John Collins – Fountain Valley

“Having the endorsement of these mayors is very exciting. My campaign is firing on all cylinders right now,” said Harper. “Huntington Beach, Westminster, Garden Grove and Fountain Valley collectively represent the home to more than two-thirds of the voters of the 72nd Assembly District. To have the support of the highest elected officials from these cities means a lot to my campaign. They have put their faith in me to go to Sacramento and fight for them and I won’t let them down.”

Harper adds the mayors to a list of endorsements that already includes Orange County Supervisors Pat Bates and Shawn Nelson, as well as Sheriff Sandra Hutchens. An extended list of endorsements can be viewed at www.HarperForAssembly.com.

Harper is a small business owner, City Councilman, and has a long history of working for conservative causes including serving as a member of the County Republican Central Committee. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Policy Management from the University of Southern California.
