A Look Ahead…

Posted by Chris Nguyen on January 30, 2012

Now that we’re up and running, here’s a preview of what’s coming down the pike on Day 1 and Week 1 of OC Political.  This morning, I’ve got a break-down of what last week’s State Supreme Court ruling means for party balance in the State Senate, and Emami’s got some coverage of last week’s developments in the AD-74 race, along with what’s going in the 1st Supervisorial District race.  As the week proceeds, we’ll definitely be covering the campaign finance numbers, as candidates must file their Form 460 disclosures by the end of tomorrow.

In the interest of full disclosure, I do work for Assemblyman Chris Norby, but considering he’s currently unopposed, I don’t think we’ll be covering his campaign much.  My posts are my opinions and mine alone, and do not neccessarily reflect my employer’s opinions.

And Away We Go

Posted by Former Blogger Chris Emami on January 30, 2012

This is the first of what will hopefully be many posts on the “OC Political” blog. We are launching due to what is a void in the Orange County blogosphere for a right of center blog that really focuses on local issues. I have been blogging for around 5 years initially for the Orange Juice Blog and then moving on to Red County’s OC Blog back when Matt Cunningham was in charge.

I am looking forward to focusing on the many issues that I am sure will arise with the upcoming election. We have got some great bloggers on board with us and I am hoping that we can be around for the long haul.
